Your only care in the world is getting to the concert.

Before you jet out the door to meet up with your fellow concert-goers, take a look at this list. Here are five accessories that will make your concert experience more enjoyable.

5. A Small Crossbody Bag

Image via Flickr by Aunty Meredith

You don’t want to be bogged down with a heavy bag. Bring a small crossbody bag that you can sling over your shoulder and forget about. Make sure the bag has a zipper or clips that will keep your content inside secure. If you’re a guy and prefer not to carry a bag, cargo shorts are always a useful (if not particularly stylish) option.

Be sure to pack essentials like your photo ID, tickets, keys, and some extra money. Don’t forget to pack your smart phone; you will want to snap pictures and take videos. The point is to free up your hands so you can dance to the music without anything getting in your way.

4. A Hair Tie

Image via Flickr by love Maegan

With all of the dancing you will be doing, you will want the option to tie your hair back. Your hair will likely get sweaty and only get in your way. Bring a hair tie or head band to keep hair strands off of your face.

Are you going with a group? Bring extra ones. They don’t take up much space, and your friends will be thankful you thought of them. Remember to include your long-haired guy friends. Pass the ties out at the beginning of the show. They can be worn on the wrist until needed.

3. A Hat

Image via Flickr by Aunty Meredith

If you encounter a member of the band, you will need something for them to sign. Bring a hat. You can easily take it to get the autograph and will be able to keep it for a long time. If you have George Strait Tickets, for example, you’ll want to wear a cowboy hat. If you’re going to an Indie show, wear a fedora. Of course, wearing a hat will also keep the sun out of your eyes.

2. Ear Plugs

This isn’t an accessory most concert-goers would think to bring. Of course, you want to hear the music. However, if you’re lucky enough to be in the front row or standing close to a speaker, you will be thankful you brought them. Loud music can be hard on your ear drums and possibly cause permanent hearing damage. And as a music lover, being unable to hear the sweet sounds of your favorite musician is probably the last thing you want.

1. Sunglasses

Image via Flickr by Aunty Meredith

Sunglasses instantly add a cool factor to your look. If you’re going to be outdoors, sunglasses will help keep the sun out of your eyes. That way you don’t have to squint. If the concert is indoors, keep them on your head or in your bag while at the show. You may even want to wear them anyway. You’ll fit in with the hipsters who will no doubt be in the crowd.

With your bag packed with these accessories mentioned above, you’re ready to join the crowd and enjoy the show.
